Your support has enabled us to:

Collect 6.9 tonnes of food:

· 1.2 tonnes came from supermarket collections at Asda, Co-op and Morrisons

· 3 tonnes came from Church & School harvest offerings

· the rest came from many staff room/church/and individual, gifts and donations

Provide food boxes for 181 people, 120 being adults and 61, children.

Without your help we would not have achieved any of this in such a short space of time.

If you were in crisis - where would you turn?

Many of us have friends and family to turn to when the going gets tough. But what if your family could no longer help and you had nowhere else to go? What if the kids were hungry, the cupboards bare and you really did not know where the next meal would come from?

That’s where Weston-super-Mare Foodbank has helped. By giving people food and support when they need it most we have been able to help avert greater disaster and greater poverty.

The Weston-super-Mare Foodbank has worked with local frontline professionals who are now able to issue food vouchers which are exchanged for emergency food boxes. Each box contains three day’s supply of nutritionally balanced tinned and dried food and is intended as a short term measure to provide breathing space until additional help is offered by professional agencies.
