WAY WSM - WHAT IF?! Convo - Please nominate

Dear Colleagues,

WAY WSM ‘What If?’ Conversation – 15th September

One of the opportunities that has recently come our way is a conversation with WAY UK, a charity that began when a small group of Christian young adults in Swindon simply asked, "What if we could make a difference for children and young people in our town?" Three years later, that conversation has grown into a remarkable ministry supporting hundreds of young people each year through mentoring, music, sport and hospital-based crisis support.

Rather than arriving with a ready-made programme, we'd love to explore whether there might be something God would want to birth here in Weston-super-Mare.  In some ways, this would be a continuation of aspects of the recent ROC conversation.

With that in mind, we'd be delighted if you would prayerfully consider whether there are one or two people from your church who might enjoy being part of an informal evening of conversation.

In particular, could you think about inviting:

  • an emerging young leader (aged 18–30) with a heart to make a difference in our town;
  • and perhaps someone from your church who has a passion for encouraging and supporting younger leaders.

Of course, you would also be very welcome to come yourself if you would find it helpful to hear the story and join the conversation.

The evening will take place on Tuesday 15th September, 7.00pm, at The Games Room, 129 High Street, Weston-super-Mare, over pizza and refreshments. There is no expectation or commitment beyond simply coming together to listen, learn and explore what might be possible. Whatever emerges would only develop through the wisdom, prayer and shared discernment of those involved.
